Can you RUN it?

Can I run it? All gamers and computer users have always asked this question when posed with a new game. For awhile now, a business called Husdawg has a browser based program that sniffs your computer (not a trojan or anything) and checks your computer out and sees if your computer is good enough to play any number of games. This is a great tool to use if you have a question about a friend or family and not sure if they can run that game. You can simply choose a game from the list (which has hundreds of games) and it will run a system check and tell you what is minimum and recommended and where your system stands.
Here is an example of what it looks like after it is done analyizing. Although it will very, there is more information above and below this picture. However, this is on my laptop and this is showing the recommended system requirements when comparing with The Sims 2 a fairly common game.
If you wish to use this tool, you may visit SRTest. I highly recommend this program. It gives detailed information and gives you accurate information as to if you can play a game sucessfully or not. If you are having any problems or suggestions, go ahead and comment them.

When i had my old Dell this was a godsend. Plus even with the new system it’s fun to see how well it does. I love this site it’s very useful.

Yeah I know what you mean. It has helped me on more than one occasion and has always pulled through for me.

Hmm this a lie
. I tried a lot of games which I can play on my heap of junk at home at decent settings, but the site told me I failed miserably. -
I do not believe you understand. It does not say “You cannot play this game bc your system sucks” it is basically saying you will have a crappy time playing. For example, I can play crysis on a NVIDIA 6800…but it says I fail minimum settings..obviously I fail however I can play it but it is choppy and the graphics can’t be higher than low.
This site compares your system with that of the ratings that were on box with recommendations.

They still lie because they say I cant play it but Im playing fine on reasonable settings…not even low settings to say…

Well, to say that it is misleading just isn’t rly possible. To be honest, they get their “min/req” stats from the game companies (see backside of games). So if anyone is to fault with your game and crap computer it is the gaming company. Besides, what game are you attempting to play and the specs of your computer. Better yet, post an image

I don’t know if I ever need something like this, I know it does look useful. The way I look to see if something will run is if the minimum requirements are below TES IV standards I can run the settings easily on default, anything above that I usually lower the settings or jack a friend’s computer.
